Jason and Olivia met while in school in Nashville, TN. After marrying in 1997 they moved to Southern California to complete their graduate studies with the intent of moving back east – God had other plans. The Mathers moved to Long Beach in May 2005 to start City Presbyterian Church after spending several years on staff at Pacific Crossroads Church in West Los Angeles. They are the proud parents of two boys, Carter (2) and Teddy (1).

Robin Lee – Director of Church Life

Robin and Irene met in Oaxaca, Mexico during a short-term mission trip in the summer of ‘96. They got married in July, 2000 and started a family right away. Their oldest child, Karis, is 6 years old and loves to play soccer; their second, Elijah, is 4 and thinks he is a Power Ranger; their third, Joshua, is 2 and creates havoc wherever he goes! Robin is currently finishing up his Masters of Divinity at Westminster Seminary and looks forward to serving in full-time ministry soon. The Lees have been with City Pres since September of 2006.

Mark Lee – Music Team Leader

Mark lives in La Palma, CA with wife Janet, two daughters, Samara and Alayna, and their dog Billie. He grew up in Long Beach and still owns a business in the Bixby Knolls area. Mark was a member of the worship team at Pacific Crossroads Church in Santa Monica before joining Jason to start City Presbyterian Church. He has been involved with music most of his life and continues to be a part of various local bands playing guitar and singing. Mark loves all types of music and is known for mixing in various styles during worship.

Rachel Janicin – Children's Ministry Coordinator

Rachel has worked with kids over a span of 15 years and still loves it. She has two of her own children, Arielle (8) and Miles (6). Even though she grew up on the east coast, Rachel loves California and calls it "home." In addition to serving at City Pres, she also works as a nanny for a family in Long Beach. Rachel is addicted to music, going to the library & organic juicing. She tends to hang out in coffee shops, open mic nights, health food stores and record shops.
